Licensure Examinations for Medical Technologist - Answer-▪ The practice of medical
technology in most countries around the world is being regulated or monitored by
national or local government units. This is the reason why before anyone could practice
the profession, a license must be obtained.
▪ The authority to practice is given to a medical technology graduate upon passing the
corresponding licensure examination.
▪ Locally, our government mandates the Board of Medical Technology under the
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to do this task.
▪ If anyone wishes to practice medical technology in some countries abroad, the same
corresponding regulations apply. In so doing, you need to secure a license by hurdling
examinations.
