in unconsciousness, protracted and obvious disfigurement or protracted loss or
impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ or mental faculty.

Protection of hazardous materials or deadly weapons
Self Defense: Deadly Force - individual - Answer-Deadly force may be used in individual
self-defense only when the officer has reasonable belief that the subject of such force
poses an imminent threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another
person.
Self Defense: Deadly Force - unit - Answer-Deadly force may be used in unit self
defense only when the CO of the unit apply force has authorized the use of force in unit
self defense AND when deadly force is the level of force reasonable required to respond
decisively to the hostile act or hostile intent of the subject of such force and such force
is reasonable in duration and scope.
