b. Parallel occlusal and gingival walls
c. Occlusal and gingival grooves
d. Others
ANS. Parallel mesial and distal walls to avoid undermining the enamel at the marginal ridge.

Amalgam retention form is BL walls converge and retention grooves.
Resistance form in amalgam is bevel, flat floor and rounded internal line angles.

c. Others
ANS: Cortical. The bone of the tooth socket is a dense cortical plate into which the principal fibers of the periodontal
ligament are inserted, referred to as Sharpey's fibers. Alveolar bone (in both maxilla/mandible) consists of two plates of
cortical bone separated by spongy (cancellous) bone.

8. TAD attached to what
a. Cortical bone
b. Cancellous bone
c. Others
ANS: TAD attaches to cortical bone. Alveolar bone (in both maxilla/mandible) consists of two plates of cortical bone
separated by spongy (cancellous) bone.

Apical migration of the Epithelial attachment with corresponding recession of the marginal gingiva results
in
(a) A shallow sulcus
(b) Gingival pocket formation

d. Apexification

ANS: apexogenesis

Pulp Cap = if exposure is more than 1mm pulp cap is contraindicated

Apexification = treatment of a non-vital tooth with incomplete apex formation & pulp exposure using calcium hydroxide (or
MTA) to achieve apical closure. Want to create an apical barrier in a necrotic tooth with an open apex…barrier is form 3-6
months… then proceed with root canal treatment

12. Which of these angles decrease with growth?
a. SNA

b. SNB

c. ANB

d. Y- AXIS

ANS: SNA AND SNB increase throughout growth. ANB decreases. ANB = SNA-SNB …. Remember
SNB is mandible which grows more than maxilla so its obvious mathematically that ANB would
decrease over time
