Imlicit bias is a subconscious feeling, attitudes, prejudices, and stereotypes an individual has
developed due to prior influences and imprints throughout their lives. What I understand about
implicit bias is what we subconsciously think about someone based on their race, how they look,
etc... From the video “What does my Headscarf mean to you?” I learned that you shouldn't just
judge someone based on their gender, how they look and how they dress. You should get to
know them, learn about them and after that you’ll see that people are full of surprises. After
watching “What is Privilege?” I realized that being able to wake up every morning and have food
to eat every day is a privilege. The video made me realize that a lot of us take what we have for
granted and do not even realize that it’s a privilege to have what we have. And lastly, the video,
“What is Gender?” showed me that there’s a lot of other gender identities and that we should
respect someone’s gender identity.
