By Rais Mauthoor

Visual Merchandising in Retail - Practical
Introduction
In this assignment, I will firstly plan a safe visual merchandising display using a range of
goods within a retail context. Then I will assemble the visual display using a range of
goods within a retail context and evaluate the planning and assembling of my display,
making recommendations for improvements. Afterwards, I will analyse the techniques
used in my visual display and make recommendations for improvements.

P4 Plan a safe visual merchandising display using a range of
goods within a retail context
The images below are of my glass shelf, which is my visual merchandising display.
Whilst planning my display of goods, I had to carefully consider the type of goods in my
arsenal and the positioning of my goods to make my display the most effective it can be.
The pictures below show the glass shelf in an empty and undeveloped state. It also
shows the glass shelf in a full and complete state which was taken after I planned and
applied my visual merchandising techniques.
