Types
, LIDAR: Light Detection and Ranging
LiDar, or Light Detection and Ranging, active remote sensing technology that uses light
in the form of a pulsed laser to measure distance. Light pulses, combined with other
data points generated by the system, create accurate 3-D information about an object in
relation to its environment
LIDAR: Limitations:
● Does not recognize road signs
● Lidar can't detect through snow, rain and fog so radar is needed
● Detect objects located in the range of 30 meters to 200 meters
