advance treatment for airway obstruction - ✔✔1. nasopharyngeal airway-concious or semiconcious
2.oropharyngeal airway- unconcious pt
3.consider LMA
4.ET tube
layngospasm treatment - ✔✔1.100% O2
2. proper head position to maintain airway
3.pack off surgical site
4.suction oral cavity
5.positive pressure
6.succinylcholine 10-20mg IV
bronchospasm treatment - ✔✔1. 100% O2
2.albuterol via inhaler q20 mins for up to 4 hours
3. atrovent - 2 puffs stat then repeat q4h
4. epi 1.1000 then epi 1:10,000
5. intubate
6. decadron 4-6mg iv or solucortef 100mg iv
7. benadryl 50mg iv
8. if persistent activate EMS
emesis and aspiration treatment - ✔✔1.activate EMS

3.turn pt to right side with head down
4. tonisil suction oral cavity
5. remove visible foreign bodies
6. intubate
7. transport
MI treatment - ✔✔1.activate EMS
2.100% O2
3. make pt comfortable
4. attach AED
5. aspirin 325mg
6. IV access
7. morphine 2-4mg IV push q5-10 mins
symptomatic bradyardia treatment - ✔✔1. terminate the procedure
2. 100% O2
3. IV access
4. atropine .5mg may repeat for a total dose of 3mg
5. may need to transport
supraventricular tachycardia treatment - ✔✔1. supine position
2. adenosine 6mg rapid iv push over 1-3 seconds with immediate saline flush * may be a period of
asystole 6-12 seconds long
3. after 1-2 mins adenosine 12mg rapid flush
4. a third dose of adenosine may be given
PVC's treatment - ✔✔1. determine cause and correct
2. lidocaine .5-1.5mg IV repeat .5-.75mg every 5-10 mins up to 3mg
