Movement analysis Biomechanics - Answer-"The study of the mechanical principles that govern human

Qualitative biomechanical movement analysis - Answer-Is essentially QMA with emphasis on the
mechanics of human movement.
-For instance, a coach could note that the 'performer accelerated slowly out of the blocks and reached a
peak acceleration near the end of the race', technology is often used in biomechanical movement

Quantitative biomechanical analysis - Answer-is based on measuring kinetic (force) and kinematic
(movement: acceleration, speed, velocity) variables
Mass - Answer--mass is the measure of the matter in an object
-mass is often denoted in kg (don't get confused). For instance, an athlete has a mass of 75kg

Momentum - Answer--Momentum is the motion possessed by an object
-Momentum = mass x velocity
What would it mean if the object was at rest ? - Answer-an object at rest has no momentum because
it's moving at 0 velocity
What would it mean if two objects have the same mass? - Answer-If two objects have the same mass,
the object with the greater velocity has the greater momentum. Similarly, if two objects have different
masses but the same velocity, the object with the greater mass has the greater momentum. Momentum
plays a large role when two objects collide.
