Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) currently recommends colorectal
cancer screening average-risk patients beginning at 45 years of age, up until
75 years of age
Patients with a first-degree relative diagnosed with colorectal cancer should
begin screening at 40 years old or 10 years younger than the age at which that
relative was diagnosed (whichever comes first)
Screening Tests Available:
- screening colonoscopy every 10 years
- fecal occult blood test every year
- fecal immunochemical test every year
- flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years
- CT colonography every 5 years

beginning bilateral screening mammography for women at normal risk of
breast cancer at age 50 years and repeating the screening every 2 years until
