Basins - ANSWER-water is detained for purity of time; generally designed on volume,
provide peak flow attenuation in treatment "settling"


Swales and strips - ANSWER-convey stormwater and shallow gaps; it's designed to
open channel flow principles

, Bacteria - ANSWER-remove nitrate from lakes basins and Bioretention filters; may also
remove sulfur, and hydrocarbons, pesticides and many other pollutants


Algae - ANSWER-free floating and used and light poles: process nutrients: can clog the
filters and may need to be thinned out
