I know for me to be a qualified teacher in the future, I would have to learn professional practice
because these practices would help me to have the behaviors, knowledge, and skills that is
required to be a effective teacher in the future. For me already being a Personal Care Assistant, I
am already one step ahead of becoming a professional teacher where I can step into a classroom
with students instead of myself being a student. To ensure that I have the crucial skills to be able
to adapt to have a classroom of students of my own I know that taking professional dispositions
seriously is the key.
In the classroom I currently work for, I will demonstrate professionalism as a Personal Care
Assistant and hopefully a future teacher in the high school life skills class by maintaining a
professional relationship with the teachers, and by collaborating appropriately with my fellow
Personal Care Assistant. These two professional dispositions are valuable to put into practice to
ensure that when I work with teachers and aide in the future and talk with administrators above
me, I will be professional and respectful to them. Showing respect and being support with my
colleague is crucial to maintain a balance to practice because I will have to be a role model for
future students of my own.
In the classroom I will teach the students manners where everyone is treated as everyone want to
be treated and help each other in the classroom. When I do some student teaching, I will be
professional, dress appropriate attire, and talk to the teacher in a timely and respectful manner.
As a future teacher, I would show these professional attributes. It would help me prepare for
future classroom I would teach and how I would step into the role of being a professional teacher
in the classroom.
Teaching is not an easy profession like most people stereotype it into. I think going into teaching
is one of the most difficult jobs. Being a teacher isn’t an easy profession to be in and going into
teaching is one of the most difficult jobs. Being a teacher requires that we learn how to
professional every day in school in order to be an effective teacher. I need to be prepared to keep
my future students engaged in class, keep a positive attitude even if I’m having a bad day, have a
clear and well-organized agenda for the students to understand, and to be professional in the way
in which I teach.
