Why you have chosen this syllabus
I chose this to structure my lessons based on Alberto’s desires, needs and interests. It
is designed to build his vocabulary and understanding on applying the rules of
grammar when reading, writing and speaking. It not only gives him the skill of
listening for gist but it enhances the speed of grasping the information that he
perceives when listening andresponding.
Why you have chosen the topics covered
The topics are based on his interests and I had to find a way to use these topics to
teach the skills needed for him to grow his English knowledge. Using the topics will
get his attention because it’s something that he is familiar with only with a touch of
English.
