DoD SAPR Mission Statement: The Department of Defense prevents and
responds to the crime of sexual assault in order to... Right Ans - ...enable

New SAPR Initiative Right Ans - new training for commanders,
strengthening the training enterprise for all service members, improving the
investigative and military justice system capabilities, and further
professionalizing the first responders.
Confidential Communication Right Ans - Oral, written, or electronic comms
with PII concerning a sexual assault victim and the incident provided by the
victim to the SARC, SAPR VA, or healthcare personnel in a Restricted Report.
Includes SAFE Kit and its information.
Consent Right Ans - words or overt acts indicating a freely given agreement
to the sexual conduct at issue by a competent person. Lack of resistance is not
consent. A relationship is not consent. A person sleeping or incapacitated is
not competent and therefore cannot render consent.
Crisis Intervention Right Ans - emergency non-clinical care to alleviate
potential negative consequences to victims by providing safety assessments
and providing resources
DSAID Right Ans - Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database. Maintains all
sexual assault data collected by the Military Services. SAPRO and the DoD uses
the data to develop and implement congressional reporting requirements.
Emergency Right Ans - a situation that requires immediate intervention to
prevent the loss of life, limb, sight, or body tissue to prevent undue suffering.
Sexual Assault victims need emergency medical intervention, regardless of
evidence of physical injury.
Emergency care Right Ans - includes both physical and psychological
medical services and a SAFE
