Data Type - ANSWERSindicates the type of data that can be stored in a field- date,
time, predefined list, free text
No-add item - ANSWERSvalues that do not change over time (DOB)
Response Each Time item - ANSWERSvalues that change over time (marital status,
phone number, address)
Contact - ANSWERSsnapshot of record at one point in time. like multiple pieces of
paper in a file, it tracks different values over time (calls to the clinic, several different
encounters)
opt - ANSWERSbrings you back to the initial (main) menu
PgUp - ANSWERSmove to the previous screen/menu. from the 1st screen of record,
page up exits the record
= , enter - ANSWERSre-opens last accessed record at the master file prompt
, ? - ANSWERSget a list of records at any master file prompt
Shift + F5 - ANSWERSget help text about an item
Shift + F7 - ANSWERSexits a record from any screen
PgDn - ANSWERSfrom the final screen of record, page down exits the record. Or
moves to the first item of the next screen
Tab - ANSWERSmoves to the NEXT field on the screen
Left Arrow - ANSWERSprevious field- moves to the field to the left
Up & Down Arrows - ANSWERSmoves to the field above or below the current field, or
up and down in a list
F1 - ANSWERSdeletes a value or an entire line of text
F2 - ANSWERSerases everything from the cursor to the end of the field, which is good
for partially deleting characters in free text fields
F3 - ANSWERSrestores a field to the value that was there when you moved the cursor
into the field (does not work in all fields)
Home, Up Arrow - ANSWERSscrolls to the TOP of the list
Home, Down Arrow - ANSWERSscrolls to the BOTTOM of the list
Home, Right Arrow - ANSWERSEND of the field; moves the cursor to the far right
position in the current field
Home, Left Arrow - ANSWERSBEGINNING of the field; moves cursor to the far left
position in the current field
Home, F8 - ANSWERSdisplay information about the item the cursor is on, such as the
master file INI and item number
Home, F9 - ANSWERSScreen Fast Forward: searches down a record for an item or a
screen based on text or item numbers
Shift + F3 - ANSWERSOpen text editor: on some fields with free-text entry, expands
space available for entering a value
Delete - ANSWERSdeletes one letter of value
