Important Notes:



*The ANOVA is used instead of multiple t-test because these could increase Type I Error

, *If ANOVA shows a significant main effect of the IV, post-hoc tests need to be utilized to pinpoint specific
differences.



Matched Groups Design - Answer Used when random assignment is not sufficient to control individual
differences.



Procedure:



1.) Measure participants for a certain characteristic [ie: IQ]



2.) Match participants according to the characteristic (ie: pair those with similar IQ scores) to form pairs
