I discovered that in order to read this measurement correctly, one must first measure the
distance between the ends of the quarter, determine the main scale measurement using the
dash above 0, and then determine the vernier scale reading using the second dash. Vernier
Scale reading is 0.05, scale reading is 24 mm. 24.05mm is the final measurement.
