Task P1: Describe the recruitment documentation used
in a selected organisation
In this assignment I am going to be to be describing the recruitment documentation
used in the organisation, Tesco. I will be stating the job roles within the business as
well as giving a brief a background of my chosen organisation
Tesco is by far one of the largest ever grocery and commercial store chains in the
world both in terms of the number of stores and both in terms of yearly income. The
international company which is based in the UK has stores in about a dozen
countries which include both Europe and the Asian region. Tesco has further plans
to expand its business.
During the 60s supermarkets started to expand rapidly by selling more products in
ever larger stores.
Supermarkets revolutionised the way people shopped and by the 1970s Tesco was
building a national store network to cover the whole of the UK, which it continues to
expand to this day, while also diversifying into other products.
Types of jobs within the business:
- Customer assistant
- Team manager
- Customer delivery driver
- Shift leader
- Delivery manager
- Dispenser assistant
- Category manager
- Delivery assistant manager
