Ubuntu is a philosophy that originated in Africa, particularly in the Nguni
languages of Southern Africa. In my own words, ubuntu refers to the
interconnectedness and interdependence of all human beings. It is a belief that
our humanity is deeply rooted in our relationships with others, and that our
individual well-being is tied to the well-being of those around us. Ubuntu is often
translated as "humanity towards others" or "I am because we are," emphasizing
the importance of community, empathy, and mutual support in our lives.
