CONNECTIVITY ENG
CAN YOU DESCRIBE IN YOUR OWN WORDS WHAT EXACTLY WEB 3.0 ENTANGLES?
Can you describe in your own words what exactly web 3.0 entangles?
Web 3.0 is the third generation of the World Wide Web.
The difference with web 2.0 is that you are now the 'owner' of the content that you put online. In web 2.0 you were the
product.
NB; In web 3.0 you can get rid of everything you want to get rid of. But once you put something online, it is online
forever! Because if people download your video or photo, it doesn't really matter if you take it down or not.
Conclusion: It emphasizes the control of data and online interactions. In the web 3.0 version, internet interactions are
also supported by blockchain instead of central authorities.
HOW DO YOU LINK STEVE JOBS TO THE BEGINNING OF THE INTERNET?
How do you link Steve Jobs to the beginning of the internet?
Steve Jobs was fired from Apple and this ensures that the web is as it is today. Because Steve built www on a next
computer.
Steve Jobs founded the Next company after leaving Apple. Next supposedly took over Apple in 1997.
So if he had just been fired, the web would not be as we know it today.
WHAT EXACTLY WAS IMODE AND WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH 'CONNECTIVITY'?
What exactly was Imode and what does that have to do with 'connectivity'?
iMode is the birth of the mobile Internet, in February 1999. This means that it is possible to access email, news, weather,
www, ... via telephone.
The link with connectivity has played an important role in my opinion. Specifically promoting mobile connectivity and
popularizing mobile Internet use.
Before the launch of imode, mobile phones were intended to send text or voice messages. Imode brought an enormous
evolution to this.
Nowadays telephones are part of everyday life and people can be connected to the Internet anywhere and anytime.
Conclusion: imode is therefore an important moment in the separation of connectivity
