1. Here's a structure involved in the coordination of a reflex action. Describe how the structures shown help to coordinate a reflex action. - Ans .The receptor notices the stimulus and sends an electrical impulse to the co-ordinator. The electrical impulse is sent through the sensory neurone (A) on the way to the spinal cord, which is a part of the CNS. The electrical impulse then crosses the gap between synapses and then travels to the relay neurone (B) which then travels through the motor neurone (C),which triggers a response from the effector. 2. Explain reasons for an against the theory that an increase in concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere causes an increase in air temperature. - Ans .Overall, data from figure 3 suggests that CO2 resulted in an increase in global temperatures and is supported by the fact that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and so traps heat (infrared radiation) inside the atmosphere. However, in some years on the data on figure 3, temperature falls while CO2 is still increasing, which contrasts from the ideology that CO2 definitely contributes to the increase in global temperature. The data also presents erratic changes through increases and decreases in air temperature while CO2 continued to consistently to increase, and so does not support the theory. This supports the idea that correlation doesn't mean cause. 3. Give one biological process that cause the lower concentration of carbon dioxide in the summer. - Ans .Photosynthesis. 4. Give two possible effects of an increase in global air temperature on living organisms. - Ans .Animals lose their natural habitat due to the heat changing their optimum conditions so much it becomes uninhabitable. 5. Extension of species. 6. Which metabolic process produces water? - Ans .Breakdown of protein to amino acids. 7. Estimate the total number of dandelions in a field - Ans .1) Calculate the mean of the results. 2) Work out the area of field. 3) Multiply the mean and field area together. 8. Give answer in standard form! "Light intensity affects the number of dandelion plants that grow in an area." 9. Plan an investigation to test this hypothesis. - Ans .Firstly, the students pick out an area of field, one with access to a lot of light and one with low access to light. Divide the area into numbered grid and then, using a random number generator, they would place a 1m(squared) quadrat on the area with a lot of light and record the number of dandelion plants in that particular area within the quadrat. Secondly, the students would repeat that method up to 10 t
