Samenvatting Communicatie, media en interactie
(CI3V14303)

Week 1  introductie + media fit modellen

Kennisclip 1  Daft en Lengel
Media Richness Theory (MRT)  2 vragen
1. Waarvoor gebruiken organisaties informatie?
- Verminderen van uncertainty (gebrek aan info)
- Verminderen van equivocality (ambiguïteit) gebrek aan duidelijk
antwoorden. Er bestaan verschillende interpretaties.

Oplossingen hiervoor

equivocality

, Navolging Media Richness Theory  niet super concrete, deterministisch,
niet heel geschikt voor nieuwe media.

Artikel Stephens en Mandhana
The article from The International Encyclopedia of Organizational
Communication by Keri K. Stephens and Dron M. Mandhana explores
media choice and use within organizations. It discusses the evolution of
communication technologies and how the availability of various media
impacts organizational communication strategies. The article reviews
historical research trends and theories related to media richness, social
presence, and media synchronicity, focusing on how individuals and
groups select and use communication technologies. It emphasizes the shift
from using single media to multiple media, considering the influence of
social, environmental, and technological factors on media choice and use.
The article also highlights the importance of understanding the interplay
between media characteristics, organizational contexts, and
communication goals to effectively navigate the complex landscape of
organizational communication.

Clark & Brennan
aanwijzen)

Technieken voor verduidelijking van:
Referential idenity (hetzelfde object): iets aanwijzen, andere beschrijving
geven
