The Right to Privacy,
The right to privacy is arguably one of the most debated rights protected under the American Constitution. The right to privacy, according to the Legal Information Institute, may be defined as—1—the right not to have one’s personal issues disclosed to the public and 2—the right that protects the people from undue government intrusion into vital personal issues and contemplations (Mainz, 2021). Even though the American Constitution does not explicitly state the right to privacy under a specific provision, various Supreme Court cases have proven that the right to privacy is indeed, protected by the constitution. Also, various Amendments under the Bill of Rights spell out the specific privacy rights accorded to the American citizens (Mainz, 2021).
