The different levels of government in the UK and the democratic election process at each level
Levels of government and their responsibilities
The Government system that the UK provides has two levels, Central government and Local
government. In these governments they each have a leader to decide how the country should be
run. These governments are part of the public service as they are funded by tax payers to ensure the
country is run safely and to make the lives of citizens better. These governments give the public a
choice on who they want to run the country. The public get decide through a number of parties who
provide different change that they believe will benefit the country. This makes the UK a democratic
country.
