QUESTION TWO - MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY [10]
Briefly describe your teaching philosophy. Write a paragraph of 5-7 sentences on each
of the following questions:
1. Why do you want to become a teacher?
2. What strategies will you use to improve your learners’ academic performance?
My Teaching Philosophy
1. Why I Want to Become a Teacher:
My desire to become a teacher stems from a lifelong passion for learning and a belief
in the power of education to empower individuals. I find joy in sparking curiosity and
witnessing the "aha" moments when students grasp a new concept. I am drawn to the
challenge of creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all
students feel supported and valued.
2. Strategies to Improve Learner Performance:
I believe in using a variety of engaging and differentiated strategies to improve
academic performance. I will utilize technology to enhance learning and cater to
diverse learning styles. Creating a safe space for collaboration and inquiry-based
learning will be paramount. Frequent formative assessments will allow me to identify
areas where students need additional support and adjust my instruction accordingly.
Most importantly, I will foster a love of learning by making the classroom a dynamic
and positive space where students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating their
achievements.
