WHAT IS CRIMINOLOGY?
CRIMINOLOGY-It is the scientific study of
crime, causes, prevention, offenders,
rehabilitation etc. and it is the
administration of justice.

-To research, study, define, and interpret
policy directions regarding crime related
issues such as
; causes of crime
; crime statistics
; societal reactions to crime
; Crime prevention
; crime control

JUDICIAL AND THE NON-JUDICIAL APPROACH

An act has to be a human under control of a
human will.

-Crime act must be voluntary and
observable

-ignoring a prohibition
-committing an act that has harmful
consequences
