This report details evidence on IT support and management tasks that have been safely and effectively carried out to help fix
computer problems users experience in offices.

his PC to see if there will be any
Update: Pop-up messages about low change. When he later updated me on
disk storage. the issue, I suggested solutions for him
to follow to fix the problem;
1. Uninstalling unnecessary programs
2. Moving files to an external hard
drive
3. Using disk clean-up to delete
temporary files
#2 21/03/2024 Network is slow. I checked the strength of the Wi-Fi
signal.
I restarted the router.
#3 23/03/2024 The computer won’t start at all. I checked if the computer was plugged
properly to a power source, and if the
power source on.
#4 25/03/2024 USB ports not working I restarted the computer, updated the driver and
restarted the computer again.
#5 26/03/2024 Laptop web camera not working I restarted the computer, updated the
computer with new drivers and
restarted the computer again.

I diligently recorded user issues and faults, providing detailed explanations of encountered problems and the steps taken to
resolve them. This facilitated quick debugging and resolution, minimising operational disruptions and meeting the client's
expectations for prompt and effective support services. By efficiently carrying out these routine IT support tasks and following
best practices, I ensured the reliability, security, and alignment of the client's IT infrastructure with their business needs and
expectations.

Software Management
Installing and setting up a new operating system software
Before turning on the computer to begin installing the new operating system, I checked the computer to ensure that all its
components were connected. That is; the mouse, keyboard, and monitor were to be connected to the system unit and a
power source. (refer to images below)




Once this was done, I inserted the installation media, which was the USB drive containing the operating system. I turned on
the PC and pressed F10 to open the BIOS settings, where I selected the installation media for booting the software. I then
followed the prompts provided by the installation wizard to select the language, keyboard layout, and disk partitioning
options. (refer to images below)
