P2:
1 - Introducton
In this task, I am going to write a report on the performance and statstcs of the two technology
companies Apple and Samsung and I am going to outline the comparisons between the two to show
their differences in their performance. Apple and Samsung are both popular companies in
technology and between the two, they both have different performances within their shares and
trading on the market.

2 – Apple, Samsung and their performances
Apple and Samsung both face business competton between each other in terms of the technology
market as they have different sofware and products within their businesses individually. Also, Apple
and Samsung are the top companies who produce technology, meaning that they both compete to
become the market leader of technology.

Firstly, Apple have a good performance in the technology market as their developed products make
a vast amount of sales with their iOS sofware that has been implemented into all of their products
such as iPhones, iPads, iPods etc. “Apple was established on April 1 st, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve
Wozniak and Ronald Wayne”1, meaning that the parts of the business were split up (Steve Jobs and
Steve Wozniak had 45% each and Ronald Wayne had 10% share of the business). The price of
Apple’s shares within the past year (November 2015 – November 2016) has gone from $121 each
individual share to $111 each individual, meaning that the price of Apple’s shares has decreased by
$10. If the price of Apple’s shares were to decrease, then it is more likely that people will start
purchasing Apple’s shares because they’re going to be cheaper, therefore people would like to
invest into the business. However, the beneft to an extent will depend on how well Apple’s
performances are as a whole. This is because if Apple end up having a poor performance and not
making a lot of sales and profts then their shares will devalue, meaning that Apple will end up losing
reputaton, profts and market share.

On the other hand, Samsung
have different performances to
Apple. Samsung was frst
“founded by Byung-Chull Lee in
1938 in Taegu, Korea”2 and
Samsung began to start
producing their own electronic
products by 1969. Then
Samsung teamed up with BP in
1989 to form Samsung BP
Chemicals3, which helped
Samsung gain some reputaton
and profts. In terms of trading, Samsung have a good performance in making successful trades
monthly as they have made from 7k-16k successful trades within the past year (November 2015 –
