P1: Purpose & Nature of the Safe Working Practices that are
Required to Support & Manage Different IT Systems.

The main purpose of IT system support is to support different types
of users using the system, we have different types of users like
beginners who don’t have any or much experience using the system
for example new member of staff who is not used to using the
system. Intermediate and experts are staff who work in the IT
department such as lecturers who have experience in IT or a member
of staff who is been working in the organization for many years and
knows how to use the system and maybe who guides colleagues on
how to use the system. Administrators who have access rights
include the support staff who are working in the IT support team
who look after the IT system in an organization.
Updates and upgrades – continuity of IT-based.

to make sure that our IT systems and equipment are secure and up
to date to avoid any time down for an organization and data loss in
the event of an attack.

We follow safety rules in the Health & Safety Management
Department to make sure everyone's on the same page. It gives a
clear structure and keeps things consistent for everyone in the
company. This department works on processes to lower the chances
of people getting hurt or sick while they're working. It's a big deal
because it helps prevent a bunch of injuries at work. That's why
safety is super important in every workplace, especially where it can
be risky for people.
The Health & Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations1992
Employers need to follow this regulation to make sure the computer
setup and work tasks are not messing people up and not affecting
their staff in a bad way and causing them injuries. They have to do a
, risk assessment, especially for staff who spend a lot of time on
computers for example programmers and software
engineers/developers. This helps them get the right furniture and
equipment. And the employees get checked out by eye doctors and
regular doctors every now and then – just to be safe.

use and tries to make them safer. It locks in the controls to keep

Employers must keep all equipment and devices clean and ensure
employees and DSE users report any defects or issues to their
manager.
In general, DSE assessments must be conducted by someone
competent whenever significant changes are made to the
equipment, work environment, or the nature of the work.
Employers have a duty to protect workers, contractors, and others
from health risks, and some obligations are required by law.
