Walk me through your resume - ANS I have 11 GCSES, with a grade 9 in seven of my subjects, and during sixth form I did 4 A levels in which I achieved 3 A*'s and an A. During school, I took part in many finance related work experiences which made me realise that this is the right career for me. from my finance internship at nottingham trent university, i developed my excel skills learning things such as using pivot tables and vlookup.During my 4 months working at the Tandoor Clay Oven limited, I learnt a lot about communicating with clients, and actually helped source the companies current supplier for plastic containers through calling up different producers based in india and using my hindi language skills to negotiate a price effectively. Something that makes me really stand out is my Speech and Drama diploma with honours, which I achieved alongside my A levels. Currently, I am about to start my second year at UCL studying economics. Why do you want to be a summer analyst. Why have you applied to this position - ANS I applied to this position because I strongly believe this is the right career path for me. I have always been good at dealing with numbers, and my economics degree involves a lot of data analysis and statistics which has increased my attention to detail. During my internship at Nottingham Trent University's finance I created pivot tables, data tables and used vlookup which allowed me to develop my excel skills. I found out from this that analysing data and creating charts and graphs is something I really enjoy, which is what made me seriously consider a career as a financial analyst. I believe this company in particular will expose me to high-profile cases in which I can put my skills to good use, and working with some of the top most skilled employees will provide me with the competitive nature I desire.
