The flood was God's punishment for the height of evil that man had reached. Shem, Ham, and Japheth They were Noah's sons. Shinar (Sumer) Where the survivors of the Flood and their descendants gradually migrated. What event resulted in the confusion of languages and the dispersion of people into many nations? The Tower of Babel. Nation A large group of people who think of themselves as one and act in history as a unit. How much did man learn from the Flood?
