Evolution The false belief that man was not created directly by God, but instead "evolved" from animals. Humanism The act of putting man in place of or above God. Cain Adam and Eve's son; he killed his brother, Abel, in a fit of jealousy and hatred. Culture A way of life of a group of people. What is the most important part of a culture? The most important part of a culture is how the people relate to God. Lamech A man who bragged openly about killing a man who had wounded him and a boy who had merely struck him. Nimrod The descendant of Noah's son Ham; he was the foolish leader who disobeyed God by staying in one place instead of dispersing. Babel The city the people of Shinar built; later known as Babylon. Nation A large group of people who think of themselves as one and act in history as a unit. How much did man learn from the Flood? Man learned nothing from the Flood; they kept on with their sinful ways soon after the Flood. What was the first human sin? The first human sin was the disobedience of Adam and Eve when they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.
