A Internet e as redes sociais transformaram o mundo numa aldeia global. Aboliram-
se fronteiras e estamos todos mais próximos. Os media tornam-se cada vez mais
importantes na sociedade em que vivemos, mesmo que acabemos todos por aceitar
as consequências de sabermos tudo mais depressa. Os políticos, por exemplo, estão
mais expostos às críticas do que nunca.
Em Portugal, circularam alguns escândalos na net que, prontamente, destruíram
carreiras, de forma nem sempre justa. Não obstante, é fundamental para a
democracia que tenhamos acesso à informação sem restrições. O direito a ser
informado não pode ser questionado sejam quais forem as circunstâncias.
