, INTRODUCTION
▪ Evidence-based practice (EBP) is an evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making,
defined as the integration of the best available scientific evidence in nursing practice.
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a key concept that addresses how to identify, adopt,
implement and evaluate interventions based on evidence published in high-quality research
journals. As future advanced practice nurses, we are encouraged to do what we can to ensure
our clinical decisions are based on the best available evidence. We have a responsibility to our
patients and ourselves to ensure that we use this knowledge and make the right decisions for our
patients.
▪ This presentation will go over the following topics:
What exactly is evidence-based practice (EBP)?
What is its significance in nursing practice?
A conceptual model that could be used to develop and implement an EBP
