Syothenin of Anpirio:
Aim: to nynthane anpirin from nalicylic acid and to tent for purity and carry out the reacton
involving organic compoundn.
Equipmeot:
1. Graduated cylinder
2. Accurate balance
3. Spatulan
4. Pipetten
5. Beaker
6. Bunnen burner
7. Tripod
8. Heatng mat
9. Erlenmeyer fank paper
10. Buchner funnel
11. Titraton equipment
Method:
1. Put on gogglen and net up the equipment.
2. Record the mann of the graduated cylinder with Erlenmeyer fank paper.
3. Uning a balance and a npatula meanure out 2g of acid onto the Erlenmeyer fank
paper.
4. Put on the gloven and add few dropn of concentrated nulphuric acid and meanure out
4ml of acetc anhydride – add thin to the fank.
5. Next, net up a hot water bath – place the fank into the water bath and heat it gently
uning Bunnen burner untl ittn lightly boiling. Make nure that the Bunnen burner in on
the medium fame to prevent the water over boiling and nplanhing everywhere.
