standard of living.
Refugee- a person who has been forced to leave their country to escape war, persecution, or natural
disaster.
Asylum seeker- a person who has lef their home country as a political refugee and is seeking asylum
in another.
Irregular migrant- refers to illegal movement to work in a country without authorization to work,
however there is no clear or universally accepted defnition of the term.
Illegal migrant- the illegal entry of a person or a group of persons across a country's border, in a way
that violates the immigration laws of the destination country, with the intention to remain in the
country.
