Week 1: Introductions and Collecting Data
Greetings everyone, My name is Marcus Silafau. I am married to my wife Samantha and have three very energetic children that keep us on our feet and always on the alert. I currently serve in the United States Marine Corps and just recently moved to Hawaii with my family to my current duty station for the next three years. I just pasted my 15-year mark in the military and will still be in after this course is complete. My hobbies include mostly spending time with family and friends, hiking, working out, basically most physical activity, watching sports and movies, and cooking specifically grilling. I am trying to get more involved in fishing and golfing but will see with all the attention and time that I have to give to work, school, and family. Also because I am stationed here in Hawaii and my family love the beach, most of my activities now are hanging at the beach with my family and trying to keep them alive while there. Honestly the reason I am taking this course is because it is one of my core requirements courses I need to complete according to my academic plan. The last math course that I took was the college algebra that I needed to complete for my general education classes. I think that my attitude will help to better grasp and interpret the information that I have to learn in the class and think that it will help me be successful in this course. The vehicles I picked were based on my preferred vehicle types/class that I look at when thinking about purchasing a car. I just picked the ones I felt had the better reviews and fit my needs as a family man or for future purchases such as the trucks. I have installed the ToolPak for excel correctly and the directions were straight forward and easy to follow.
