P6 - Draw Up a plan for the launch of a website for a specified organisation.
1. I will be making sure that my website has been fully tested and that all the features on my
website is working. All the links that i’ve included take me to the correct pages. I have also
made sure that the payment system I have used is working and working to a standard where
all the customers who use it in the future are protected when using the system. I have also
made sure that the search bar and the tool bar is working for everyone who is going to use it.
2. After this testing I will be releasing a beta version of the website, this will be a demo for the
customers to test the site, and then these customers can give feedback once they have had a
good use of the website and this feedback will included positive and negative feedback.
3. After receiving the feedback from customers I will be focusing at the negatives and then I will
be developing on what needs to be developed , this will be followed by then writing up the
test plan. In this explaining what will need to be tested.
4. After I have done this I will then be testing the website on all platforms this will make sure
that the website is accessible on different platforms for different users. For example this can
be use of the website on a computer and a mobile web browsers, need to make sure that the
website is compatible.
5. Then we will need to hire a specialist into the company, this being a team leader who will be
employed to prioritize fixing the defects.
6. After this I will be conducting 3 rounds of testing.
7. Then I will be conducting a final full loop test on the live server. Then technical production
will test to see if the website is running well and to see if all the defects were corrected and
once this is done it will be signed off.
When launching the website their are 3 things that really need to be taken into consideration and
these are the following:
● Customer feedback
● Promotion of a website
● security and ict systems/
Customer feedback is basically all of the views that the customers have on the website and the types
of things that they would like this can be the design and how accessible the website is to the
customers. For example if they like or dislike what has been done or put into the final outcome of the
website.
Next is the promotion of the website. This is things such as how the website will be advertised to
anyone who it is aimed at and it will include all of the things that the website would include. This has
to be taken into consideration because it is a big part of how popular the website is going to be
Lastly is the security and ict systems, this will be making sure that they website is protected from
viruses and things that would affect the production of the website.
