What is the psychodynamic therapy? A framework by Sigmund Freud which
explains the origin of abnormal/normal
human behaviour, personality and mental
disorders.
What is psychoanalysis? Psychoanalysis is a specific form of
psychotherapy but also a comprehensive
theory which explains underlying human
behaviour and mental functioning. Includes
the role of the unconscious mind, repressed
memories, and emotions through stages of
life.
What is psychotherapy? Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach
which aims to overcome psychological and
emotional challenges to improve their well-
being.
Psychodynamic Therapy v Psychoanalysis: a. Psychodynamic therapy is based on
Freud’s classic psychoanalysis.
