In this assignment I will be evaluating my team’s overall effectiveness in meeting its objectives and I
will be making recommendations for improvements.

The characteristics and roles in the team were a company worker and team worker; Company worker
is a person interested in tasks and team worker is someone who tries to ensure everyone is
communicating. All team members was an Co-ordinator which is someone that will give different
team members tasks which will is included in the final task. Everyone in the team was a coordinator
while they were a team leader. Everyone in the team was also a plant which is someone who comes
up with ideas. Each person in the team was a finisher which is someone that makes sure tasks are
completed, as everyone in the group always asked if the work was done and the team leader at each
time always made sure the tasks was completed. Also team members when being a leader would
make sure the tasks are completed which is what a shaper does. S was a participative leader because
he would want all of our opinions and would ask us for ideas, he would ask us for our say in the final
decision. I was an democratic leader because I wouldn’t tell people what to do ill rather ask them if
they are ok with doing the task and I listened to everyone’s ideas was an democratic leader because
she would ask us for ideas instead of telling us what to do and she would also come up with ideas.
Causes of conflict were that an team member was not doing any work and when asked about this
they reacted by shouting which caused an issue, however it was resolved by everyone ignoring it and
carrying on with the tasks and the next time we met as a team there were no issues. Performance
was monitored through communication; we would speak to each other to see where we are with the
work. We would meet in the lessons to check the work together. The team leaders for each objective
would ask the team members if they have done the work or where they are with the work. We
would all speak to each other to find out if the work is completed or not and what we have to do and
where we are with the tasks.

The team performed well as we done tasks on time, good communication and we were organised.
The team leaders performed well as they delegated the tasks well and everyone knew what they
needed to do, also they weren’t controlling rather they would ask the person rather than telling
them what to do. Also the team leaders helped with the tasks and contributed, they didn’t leave the
team members to do all the work. The team members also presented well as we explained properly
and got our point across in terms of our product.

In terms of the teams experience during the development stages which is the growth opportunities
for the team. The teams will be created and they will share ideas and contribute. The experience of
the team was that there was good communication when we were sharing ideas. When there were
tasks we understood them as they were explained properly. However there was conflict because a
team member was not contributing with any tasks. Everybody contributed ideas which benefited as
we came up with a good product. My role as a team leader made my team productive and effective
in achieving the set goal because as a team leader I would not tell them what to do, I will rather ask
them and I will ask for everyone’s idea and make sure they are ok with the final decision. I would also
ask my team members if they’ve done the work in order to check progress and make sure they’ve
completed the work so we are not behind which is a finisher and a company worker as they are
interested in tasks. I would also communicate with my team members and ensure everyone is
contributing ideas by asking everyone in the group for their opinion.

In the team there were more positives than negatives, in my team we had very good time
management and we were organised as we would do the tasks on time and we were not behind.
Everyone contributed ideas and done good work which benefited the team as we were not behind
and we had a creative logo and good product. We also had communication; we would let each other
