HATE, LOVE, SOCIAL ENGINEERING
There exist eight aspects of personality namely; interactionist, trait, behaviorist, neo- analytical, existential, cognitive, biological and psychoanalytic. The differing views of hate in these personalities include; fear of anything that we perceive to be different from us and thus an outsider causing one react with aggression due to the feeling of being threatened. One ends up hating those that they cannot identify with. The second one is rejecting those aspects of ourselves that we feel we do not like and project them onto others so that they have the badness and not you. One ends up hating others for fearing something about them. The third is lacking a compassion for yourself where if you cannot stand something about you, it breeds hate for others as a defense mechanism. You cannot be compassionate towards others if you cannot hold it to yourself. The second and the third forms of hate overlap but they are the ones that also ring true to me. I feel that if one can be content with who they are, then it would be impossible for one to perceive others as threats and consequently hate them. The desire of wanting to be better than others is what brews the feelings of hate since one is always in competition with those they perceive to have less faults than themselves. According to Fromm there are five different types of love. These include; Love of God, Motherly love, Self love, The eight perspectives of personality discussed in chapter 15 should not be merged. All these perspectives have a uniqueness that cannot be found in the other and are thus independent of each other. For example, both psychoanalytic and biological have no free will, but when it comes to their strengths they are extremely different. Psychoanalytic perspective places a lot of relevance to sexual drives irrespective Social engineering is a form of attacking done to security systems through tricking people into divulging information that is confidential. This information is used to create unlawful access to data banks and computer systems where the attacker then uses the information that they gain
