Main idea vs topic -ANSWER Main idea: The most important idea being made by the author. What the author is trying to convey to the audience. Usually is a full sentence Topic: The subject of the text. Inexpensive and can be managed through email. I.e. Craigslist Narrative Passage -ANSWER a story; can be fiction or nonfiction. The text must have a plot, it must have characters, and figurative language.
