Pujyashree Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji was born on 27th April 1931 at Ramakunjja, Puttur
Taluk, D, Karnataka, as the second son of Shri Naryanacharya and Smt Kamalamma.


Ramakunjja is a holy place, where the sacred foot prints of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Lord
Brahma have been registered. During the vanavasam period, Lord Rama spent some time in this
holy place, say the scriptures. Sri Madwacharya has also visited this unique place by pathayathra
and won over many enemies. Mercy and softness of Sri Rama, unique qualities of Lord Shiva
and spiritual greatness of Sri Madwacharya are inbuilt in Swamiji.

, He was ordained as saint in Humpi, when he was just 8 years old, by the then head of Sri
Pejavara Matha Pujyashree Vishwamanya Thirtha Swamiji. The young lad Venkataramana Bhat
became Pujyashree Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji on 3rd Dec 1938. The Pontiff of Sri Bhandarakeri
Mutt Pujyashree Vidyamanya Thirtha Swamiji, as his Vidya Guru enlightened him and
transformed him to gain abundant bliss in Shastras and Vedas.


Even at budding stage, Swamiji proved to be an extraordinary scholar in Nyaya, Vedanta and
various other fields of philosophy. His rich talents, mental abilities and discipline astounded one
and all.




The establishment of Poorna Prajna Vidyapeetha in Bangalore by him is a masterpiece to
preserve our ancient culture and propagation of the great philosophy of Sri Madhwacharya.
This great spiritual institution is bestowing hundreds of Vedic Scholars and Yagnikas every year
to create a strong foundation for a bright religious generation. More than 300 students are
benefitted with free education, food and shelter.


Sri Madhwacharya, the founder of Dwaita School, established Sri Krishna Temple at Udupi and
anointed 8 young sanyasis in order to perform the daily worship activities for Lord Sri Krishna.
The lineage of one of the 8 sages is what is now known as Pejawara Adhokshaja Matha.
