Human resource Management
Human resources are the staff that sort out payroll, wages and other finances. Human resource is also
any staff in a business, as the business needs people to complete different tasks in an organization.
Businesses must ensure they hire the right people for their business so they can run smoothly as well as
giving them incentives to keep them motivated to work.

In this essay I am going to talk about Whitehall security. Whitehall security is a business that allows
other businesses to hire their security guards. The business is quite small and their purpose is to enforce
rules and safety measures for other businesses such as clubs, supermarkets and schools.

Internal planning factors
This is to with what the inside of the business. This is to with how a business adapts to new changes in
technology as well as products or services. This would mean that the company would need to see what
skills their staff already have and what skills they will need to learn so the business can grow further.

The business must ensure that the staff are capable of learning the new skills that are required of them.
Also, if the demand for security guards increases then Whitehall may need to consider recruiting new
staff. Whitehall might also start recruiting people that speak other languages so that the security can
communicate better with people that don't speak English very well.

Even when employees have worked at Whitehall security for a long time, they would still constantly
need to be trained to refresh their knowledge as well as gain new skills that are being required. This not
only helps Whitehall security but it also helps them create profile of themselves because of the constant
training they go through. Because Whitehall is labor intensive they need to ensure that they are always
in the right shape so Whitehall may provide them with gym member ships to keep their staff fit and
healthy.

Whitehall security must ensure they know the ages of their staff so that they can plan for the future and
so they know what the staff can and can't do. Profiling the employers skills and qualifications is
important so that the business can make the most out of their employees.

External planning factors
There are many factors that can affect Whitehall security and their staff but isn't in their control.
Whitehall security must adapt to these factors to keep their business running.

Whitehall need to ensure that they are aware of the availability of the skills in their local area so that
they can plan better when recruiting. Whitehall may also need to be aware of similar business and try to
attract people to work for Whitehall rather than other similar business by offering extra incentives such
as free gym memberships as not only will it save money for their employees, they will also stay in shape
for work.

Changes in government policies may affect Whitehall security as they would need to adapt to the new
rules to keep their business running. This could affect Whitehall negatively if they don't adapt.

When recruiting new staff, Whitehall may require certain hours from the applicant but they may not be
as flexible. Whitehall may offer new incentives to persuade them if they can't find anyone to work they
hours that Whitehall requires.
