A: Principles of American Government The civics test is a spoken exam, and the USCIS officer will ask you to respond to 20 out of the 128 civics test questions. To pass the 2023 version of the civics test, you must answer at least 12 questions (60% correct). The civics test is an oral exam and the USCIS Officer will ask you to respond to questions from a list of 100 possible questions. 1.
