I may want to do something related to medicine or the mental health of the individual, such as:

 The brain and the factors it can be affected by, e.g., anxiety, depression.
 DNA or the genetic code influencing psychological problems.
 The effect of postnatal depression on the brain
 Mental health
 What causes corruption in people: the environment, genetics, psychological problems?

I’ve also considered some ideas concerning how the world functions based on historical events or evidence. These include:

 The United Nations (the significance of its formation)
 Nuclear weapons (WW2 and the nuclear bombs in Japan that led to the end of the war)
 World peace
 The problem of humanity (why people do bad things and how does affect the world, i.e., the world wars, Hitler)
 The failure of the Justice System (the failure of the justice system in recent years or was it always flawed?)
 War and conflict (the effect of the war, including works on those left behind and the struggles they experience as a result)
