Water habits are learned early. What is the purpose of the Red Cross Swim mobile application? 1. Supports and promotes the Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program. 2. Allows parents to track and share the progress of their children through the Preschool Aquatics and Learn-to-Swim levels. 3. Provides adults with information about water safety in general, as well as water safety in specific environments. 4. Helps children learn about water safety through video segments from Longfellow's WHALE Tales, age-appropriate water safety messaging, and quizzes for the parent and child to complete together. The Instructor's Corner website () is the primary resource. Register on Instructor's Corner and visit the site regularly to stay informed about processes and procedures, system improvements and resources to support you and your participants. Maintain an up-to-date profile, including your email address, to ensure that you receive important communications from the Red Cross. What are the criteria for grading participants? "Successful" is entered for a participant who has attended all class sessions, participated in all course activities, passed all the required course skills and passed the required scenarios and assessments.. "Unsuccessful" is entered for a participant who has not met course objectives and/or does not successfully attend all class sessions, participate in all course activities, complete all the required skills and/or complete the scenarios and assessments and prefers not to be retested or does not pass a retest. "Not Evaluated" should be entered as the final grade for a participant who is not attending the course with intent to receive a completion certificate. The participant, with approval from the instructor, is allowed to choose his or her own level of participation in the course. This should not be substituted for an Unsuccessful for a participant who attempts certification but is unable to pass the completion requirements. A participant who chooses to audit must make his or her intent known to the instructor at the beginning of the class. What are some factors that affect class safety?
