The National Sea life Centre
Although the attractions industry is very competitive, sometimes the best thing
to do is for the organisations to set up links with one another that’ll help in
generating more income as well as increasing the market share for all the
parties involved. NSC have formed partnerships with several businesses.
These partnerships tend to benefit both of their interests which is to generate
more income. One of the organisation that they have interrelationship with is
Alton towers. Although both organisation is owned by one megacorporation
(Merlin entertainment), they are still separate businesses. So, sea life has
partnered up with them because both organisations have realised that by
working together, it’ll will benefit both parties. Both organisation came to terms
and set up a system so that it’s possible to acquire a ticket (at any one of the
attractions) which will grant customers access to both attractions (sea life and
Alton towers). Therefore, this will be drawing in more customers as the idea of
getting access to two attractions for the price of one is appealing to
customers. The other organisation that (NSC) have a relationship with is NEC
group. Basically their arrangements are to organise business related events.
Also, Sea life have links with hotels that are located nearby. The hotels would
recommend sea life to their guests and provide them with discounted tickets.
This is beneficial to NSC because they’ll be receiving more customers from
this and it’s also beneficial to the hotels as they’ll be receiving a commission.
The majority of the companies that the NSC have links with are independent
companies.
