D1 -Evaluate the team overall effectiveness in meeting its objectives and making
recommendations for improvement
Introduction
In this assignment I will be evaluating on how well the effectiveness overall of the
team was and how well the team performed. I will also be giving my own opinion of
what went well and what didn’t go well during my time during being in the team I was
in. For my last task in will be giving recommendations on how the team teamwork
can be improved the next time.
1. Evaluation of team effectiveness
What went well
In my team it consisted of three people who were Sherry and I . The things that went
well in my team was that we all came at the appointed meeting locations and the
times, which was usually in class. During the meeting my team members and I
discussed our roles on what we would be doing. All three of us agreed to do the
given tasks as well as each of is explaining the tasks to each other so that everyone
understands. Other things that went well were the group presentation that my team
had done, for example we had all done extensive research which benefited with
presenting our presentation. When working as a team it went well, the reason for this
would be that each of us were very serious in completing the task as quick as
possible, for example we were fully committed in doing the task and made sure we
were getting our work done effectively.
Another example would be that my communication within the team was very
effective and we listened to each other opinions and we all reflected in them. Our
communication was very effective which means it allowed all the team members to
speak up and share their opinions, everyone felt comfortable in the team. The fact
the my team had good communication we were able to discuss things through for
example when Omisha and sherry had a disagreement It soon smoothed over
quickly as we were able to communicate effectively with one another.
Me and my team were very committed, which means we were all committed to meet
our goal, if we were not committed this could of cause lack of focus which means
some of the team members could of missed important points, for example if some of
the team members were not paying attention, they could've done something wrong
and make the whole team delay with our goal, however our commitment helped us to
achieve our goal and also play our roles very effectively.
In our team everyone had equal opportunities, for example we both agreed on who
was going to be the team leader also we gave each other the same amount of task,
and we also made sure that we were able to cope with them.
