Activity 2.6
Good day everyone,
Below is my attempt at activity 2.6 of the course AIN3701 regarding structured and unstructured data.
1. Customer addresses stored in a Microsoft Access database – this is considered structured data
2. A picture of a range of products – this is considered unstructured data. This data can be
converted to structured data if someone were to simply summarise the products by type and
their individual prices.
3. A video recording regarding a customer complaint – this is unstructured data, as the computer
cannot analyse the video and record the complaint a human has to do it. The computer can then
be used to keep the video and the analysis of the video on the customer’s file for easy access.
4. A CSV file with the names and addresses of suppliers – this is structured data
5. The production machine calculates and stores the time it takes to manufacture batches of a 1
000 pens – this is structured data.
Thank you for taking the time to read my response.
Kind regards,
