How different stakeholders have affected Apple Inc. in recent years
All stakeholders have affected Apple Inc. in recent years, the major ones being the
management team, the employees and the consumers of Apple Inc. products. These three
stakeholders have had the biggest influence on the way that the business has developed
and improved in recent years, they can impact whether Apple Inc. will have a successful
fiscal year or not.
Other stakeholders have also impacted the business, however, they have only had a minimal
influence, the external ones being the government, the bank, the community and the
competitors, and the internal ones being the suppliers and shareholders.
I have chosen to investigate, what I believe to be, the most important stakeholders within
Apple Inc., these are the management team, the customers, the employees, the suppliers,
the government and the competitors. I believe that the stakeholders I have not chosen to
study also have an impact, but it is minimal.
Management team
The management team of Apple Inc. have the biggest internal impact on the way in which
the business is running. This is because they can determine how much profit the business
will make, and all important decisions will be made by the management team, such as
anything in relation to the newest iPhone product. The management team affect other
stakeholders by keeping them updated on any significant news, for example, informing the
Research and Development team of any major research that needs to be completed for the
newest product.
Customers
Customers have the biggest external impact on how Apple Inc. has developed and increased
their sales in recent years. A huge factor that has affected Apple Inc. is that technology
advances extremely quickly, and customers are aware of this so they will want a more
advanced Apple product in a shorter amount of time. This is a problem for the business if
they are not able to release an innovative and improved iPhone quickly, as their
competitors, such as Samsung, will be ahead of Apple Inc. profit-wise. Customers will have
the choice of waiting a long time for the newest iPhone model, or purchasing the newest
phone released by Samsung.
Employees
The employees of Apple Inc. have the second biggest internal impact, as they are the people
creating and developing the latest products. They will need to have a good understanding of
the businesses aims and objectives so that they are able to strive and achieve them whilst
working, for example, achieving the objective of “expanding sales to customers who have
not yet owned any Apple products.” They affect Apple Inc. because the employees are seen
first by customers when entering an Apple store, this indicates that employees need to be
helpful and polite to every single customer, by doing this, they are also helping the business
in achieving their aims and objectives, which will further increase Apple Inc.’s profit.
