What is Public Health?
Public health focuses on promoting and protecting the health of all people and their communities. It differs from medicine in that it focuses on population health and prevention. The three P's of public health are prevention, promotion, and population. Wellness encompasses physical, mental, cognitive, environmental, occupational, financial, spiritual, and social health. Public health concentrations include epidemiology, environment and occupational health, health policy and management, global health, and community and family health.
